We are seeking a Raw Materials Coordinator to elevate our Operations team. As our Raw Materials Coordinator, you will be responsible for the sourcing, inventory management, and timely supply of all ingredients required for production. This role works closely with the Production and Quality teams to ensure that ingredients meet the production schedules and quality standards. Job Responsibilities:
- Generate purchase orders, confirm order details, and coordinate shipments.
- Track open orders, follow up on delivery timelines, and escalate delays when necessary.
- Receive orders promptly against PO’s, ensuring proper quantity and dollar values are received.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and ensure timely replenishment based on production forecasts and safety stock requirements to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of ingredient specifications, suppliers, lot numbers and purchase history.
- Proactively communicate order status updates, risks, and resolution timelines to stakeholders.
- Work with the quality team to ensure FIFO/FEFO are applied.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and collaborate with the relevant teams to develop disposition plans.
- Propose process improvements to enhance operational efficiency in materials handling and storage.
- Driving procurement-related projects and providing support on additional assignments as necessary.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- A degree in Supply Chain Management or Business, or 1-2 years of experience in a related field is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic data analysis.
- Familiarity with an online ERP system (NetSuite) and MPR system (StockIQ) is a strong asset.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
- Proactive and entrepreneurial, comfortable finding answers and making decisions.
